Breaking Ground Ceremony on The Quadrant in Boston – Chestnut Homes

Breaking Ground Ceremony - The Quadrant

The Breaking Ground Ceremony

What a phenomenal day we had yesterday (Friday 9th May) when we travelled down to Boston in Lincolnshire, to help create a meeting area for the Breaking Ground Ceremony at The Quadrant. The Breaking Ground Ceremony was to celebrate the starting of The Quadrant Project, which is an excellent opportunity to bring much-needed homes, a new community stadium, shops and restaurants to Boston; creating hundreds of jobs and improving traffic flows around the town.

We started the day nice and early because we had to deliver and erect the marquee before 11 o’clock in the morning; as the ceremony was due to start at 2 o’clock. When we arrived on site we was presented with a small gravelled area on the side of the main road, where they wanted their marquee erecting. However little did we know, that small plot of gravel was going to be part of a huge development project to build hundreds of houses and a new football stadium.

When we arrived on site at 8am, we started erecting a 6m x 6m Hexagonal Mini-Marquee at the back of the site leaving plenty of room at the entrance for all visitors to park their cars, and providing views over the fields that will be turned into many homes. Next we erected two 3m x 3m Mini-Marquees and linked them both to the sides of the 6m x 6m marquee to create refreshment areas for all the guests. After we had all the foundations connected and in place, we started attaching all the side panels to the frames, laying the carpets down inside, and anchored them to the ground with our hard surface anchorage kit. Last thing left to do was to place all tables and chairs inside the marquee in the layout provided by the customer.

Here are some kind words we received:

Hi there,

Thank you for your service at the event as well. Everything was promptly set up on time and taken away when required – so pass our thanks to the team.

Kind regards,

Laura
